Role Summary
The Ivy Brain Tumor Center is a pioneering program that offers cutting-edge clinical trials for patients diagnosed with aggressive brain cancers. Our team is at the forefront of drug discovery and precision medicine, working diligently to develop effective therapies for our patients.
As an Ivy Research Clinician/Sub-Investigator (Nurse Practitioner), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of participants involved in clinical trials. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Conducting comprehensive physical and neurological assessments.
- Reviewing participant safety data, including medical histories and lab results.
- Monitoring adverse events and collaborating with clinical teams to address safety concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in study development, providing clinical expertise during protocol reviews.
- Facilitate the informed consent process with research participants.
- Act as a Sub-Investigator on clinical trials, addressing medical and clinical issues.
- Collect specimens for clinical and research testing as required.
- Conduct safety assessments and report potential adverse events.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document research data accurately and respond to data queries promptly.
- Contribute to educational initiatives for patients and staff regarding treatment protocols.
- Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of clinical experience.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Training Program.
- Board eligible or Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.
- Current Arizona Board Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Proficient computer skills and strong organizational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in research.
- Experience in a research environment.
- Background in neuro-oncology or oncology.
