Senior Vice President, Product Strategy and Engineering for Water Solutions

Position Overview:

We are in search of an enthusiastic and strategic leader to oversee product strategy and engineering for Autodesk's Water Solutions portfolio, which includes premier offerings such as InfoDrainage, InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWater Pro, and Info360. These solutions empower water utilities, municipalities, and engineering firms to innovate and enhance their operations.

Reporting Structure:

This role reports directly to the VP of Building and Infrastructure Design, managing a product management and engineering division referred to internally as the 'Water Lifecycle' team. This team leverages cutting-edge technologies across various products, including cloud-based SaaS and hybrid desktop/cloud applications, incorporating AI/ML functionalities throughout the suite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Autodesk Water Solutions as both cloud and hybrid applications.
  • Lead a diverse global team of approximately 140 employees and contractors, with key locations in various regions.
  • Collaborate closely with Autodesk clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure product alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Drive results through active involvement and leadership, sharing accountability with sales, marketing, and strategy teams for performance metrics.
  • Partner with Industry Strategy to formulate Autodesk's approach to the Water sector while managing Product Strategy to support overarching business goals.
  • Foster and motivate the team to maximize productivity and creativity.
  • Attract and develop talent to meet evolving business needs.
  • Communicate achievements that demonstrate the business value of delivered solutions.
  • Engage with executive leadership to establish expectations and manage risks, dependencies, and trade-offs inherent in complex project execution.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking executive with a broad functional background who can articulate a vision and collaborate effectively across the organization. A proven track record of transformative initiatives that enhance customer experience and value is essential, along with experience in building inclusive and collaborative teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience leading extensive global product and engineering teams.
  • More than 10 years of experience in developing and executing organizational strategies with demonstrable impact.
  • Familiarity with the Water Infrastructure sector, including water distribution systems, flood and stormwater management, and sewer systems, with an understanding of customer challenges and personas across utilities and municipalities.
