Location: Hybrid work model with flexibility for remote work. OVERVIEW: The Senior Vice President - Wealth Management leverages advisory expertise and technical acumen to guide Private Wealth client relationships concerning non-profit, corporate, and personal trust and investment accounts. This role is pivotal in departmental sales initiatives and in cultivating and strengthening relationships with referral sources and influential networks. The Wealth Management leader oversees trust administration and serves as a subject matter expert in financial and retirement planning, estate planning, charitable contributions, business succession strategies, and fiduciary tax considerations. Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement

  • Collaborate closely with the client team to deliver trust administration and planning services (retirement, estate, business succession, and tax) to clients and prospects.
  • This role is client-facing and carries the responsibility for managing, preserving, and enhancing key individual and multi-generational family relationships.
  • As a subject matter expert, provide comprehensive, high-level consulting and leadership to the team.
  • Schedule and engage in regular client meetings to offer guidance that furthers clients' financial objectives.
  • Focus on retaining client relationships consistently, particularly during volatile periods.

Operational Oversight

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of trust and investment developments and issues.
  • Build and sustain a robust knowledge base of fiduciary standards, practices, laws, and regulations.
  • Utilize risk management skills and apply fiduciary knowledge and judgment to decisions regarding account openings and closures, trust discretionary distributions, estate administration, and any fiduciary matters that may arise.

Business Development

  • Collaborate with the team to implement strategic objectives and drive revenue growth for First Business Bank, aiming to meet individual revenue production targets annually.
  • Actively participate in prospect meetings, strategizing around their needs, and providing financial planning and estate plan evaluations to prospects with the goal of securing new business.
  • Network with attorneys, accountants, and other centers of influence (COIs), develop client referrals, and work closely with internal partners to expand relationships within the Private Wealth group.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field.
  • Advanced degrees (JD) or industry-specific certifications are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the financial or legal sectors is required.
  • Certifications such as CFP, CWS, CAP, and/or CTFA are preferred.
  • While not mandatory, industry-specific certifications are advantageous.
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Ability to monitor geopolitical and economic events that may occur outside of regular office hours.
  • Proficient in reading and analyzing estate planning documents (wills/trusts/MPAs/POAs), business ownership agreements, IRA beneficiary designations, and other legal documents to provide service and advice to clients.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of fiduciary income tax, estate tax, and personal income tax concepts.
