Job Overview:

LPL Financial Holdings, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager to lead the development and implementation of our Market Data platforms. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a vision, roadmap, and product backlog for our Market Data platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality Market Data experiences to our advisors.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Market Data requirements and trends.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize market and growth opportunities for LPL's Market Data solutions.
  • Work with internal partners to launch new Market Data solutions and engage with external partners to drive business growth.
  • Develop and maintain distribution of Market Data strategy.
  • Build relationships and strong partnerships across the organization, including Marketing, Sales, Transition Partners, Finance, and Compliance.
  • Negotiate contracts with key Technology Vendors to drive value across Business, Product, and Technology roadmaps.
  • Responsible for documenting and managing functional requirements, stories, and projects in Agile Scrum.
  • Lead the planning of product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities with PI roadmaps.
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
  • Be aware of the risks posed at every phase of the development life cycle and ensure oversight and controls are implemented to minimize the risk to the firm and to the advisors.
  • Provide thought leadership on a wide range of subjects related to Market Data, including regulatory matters, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of related experience with Market Data, with a strong understanding of the industry.
  • 3+ years of experience across Broker-Dealer platforms.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years executing in an Agile environment.

  • A strong understanding of the complexities of financial services and the regulatory environment we operate in, particularly as it relates to the trading space of various security types.
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and business acumen.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to evaluate business opportunities, gauge results against established objectives, and make informed tradeoffs in a prioritization exercise.
  • Expert communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present materials to the highest levels in the organization and serve as one of the recognized subject matter experts on the team.
  • Excels at delivering new capabilities using Agile methodology, at times managing multiple priorities across a portfolio of trading products simultaneously.
  • Curious learner who develops hands-on expertise in their products and related processes, and is comfortable in rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work situations.
  • Comfortable interacting directly with advisors both 1:1 and in large groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Preferences:
  • MBA, CFA, or industry-relevant certifications.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, preferably within a Broker-Dealer, RIA, investment, or financial services firm.
  • Agile and/or SAFe trainings and certifications.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX fundamental principles.
