Position Overview:
As a Mathematics Educator for Middle School, you will be responsible for guiding a classroom of approximately 20 students in their academic journey. This role requires a commitment to fostering a rich learning environment that promotes both intellectual and social-emotional growth.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching grades 6-8 and will be passionate about working closely with students. Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
  • Deliver lessons utilizing a variety of culturally responsive teaching strategies to support all students in achieving high academic and social-emotional outcomes.
  • Prepare and internalize the shared curriculum, crafting engaging unit and lesson plans.
  • Administer assessments, analyze results, and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Maintain organized records of student progress and information.
  • Utilize the Responsive Classroom approach to foster a positive classroom culture.
  • Encourage restorative practices to help students build relationships and repair community harm.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various subjects and grade levels.
  • Participate actively in meetings, including Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and professional development sessions.
  • Conduct parent-teacher conferences and maintain ongoing communication with families.
  • Ensure student safety at all times and assist with non-instructional supervision duties.
  • Engage in identity work and necessary discussions to challenge systemic inequities.

Compensation and Benefits:
Explore Schools offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Our salary scale is designed with equity in mind, based on relevant experience, education, and certification.

Teachers with a bachelor's degree and 0-10 years of experience can expect an annual salary ranging from $62,710 to $84,000. Those with a master's degree and similar experience can anticipate a salary between $67,486 and $93,636. We recognize that teachers improve over time, and our scale reflects this belief without capping years of experience.

Additional compensation opportunities are available, including stipends for extra responsibilities and leadership roles.
