  • As an Expeditor, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the workflow from supply procurement to product delivery. You will identify inefficiencies and collaborate with management to implement effective solutions. Clear communication is essential for success in this role, which will be measured by your ability to execute strategies that ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders and meet production goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To excel in this role, you must effectively perform the essential duties outlined below. Your initiative and judgment will be crucial in managing job details to achieve established objectives. The following qualifications are necessary:

  • Maintain effective communication with department heads and team members.
  • Track the status of raw material purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Generate open order reports for Manufacturing Controls to guarantee timely deliveries.
  • Assist in prioritizing projects based on deadlines.
  • Document process-related issues.
  • Establish strong communication channels with suppliers and management.
  • Monitor and uphold project and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure that order deadlines are met as promised by suppliers.
  • Enhance interdepartmental communication.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

To successfully fulfill this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain management, production, or process improvement.
  • Comprehensive understanding of process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with software such as MySQL and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or equivalent experience of 5 years in manufacturing supply chain.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to use hands for various tasks; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear.

  • Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to hear clearly in various environments.
