ROLE OVERVIEW

As the Head of Marketing Strategy for Audible on Amazon – Emerging Marketplaces, you will spearhead the establishment, launch, and expansion of Audible's visibility across Amazon platforms in emerging markets.

Your responsibilities will include pinpointing high-potential audiobook markets and developing a comprehensive marketing playbook to facilitate efficient launches and growth of Audible's services in these regions.

You will not only lead the strategic introduction of Audible's offerings in new markets but also ensure sustained success and expansion within these territories.

Collaboration with both global and local teams will be essential in crafting customer acquisition and revenue enhancement strategies, as well as building a high-performing centralized marketing team to execute these plans effectively.

Your role will also involve shaping Audible's product offerings on Amazon, including content selection, pricing strategies, and overall user experience by working closely with various Audible and Amazon teams.

Additionally, you will conduct data-driven analyses and ROI assessments to inform strategic marketing and product decisions, while overseeing operational planning, goal setting, and performance tracking.

As a leader, you will mentor and develop a team of marketing professionals, fostering their growth and driving results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with local and global teams to identify promising markets for Audible audiobooks on Amazon.
  • Develop and implement a Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and a standardized marketing playbook for efficient launches in emerging markets.
  • Work with local teams to define content offerings and pricing strategies for Audible audiobooks.
  • Partner with global teams to establish strategies for customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Oversee the execution of marketing initiatives aligned with strategic goals.
  • Build strategic relationships with Amazon teams to enhance Audible's visibility across various platforms.
  • Identify and implement operational best practices.
  • Utilize automation to streamline marketing efforts across multiple emerging markets.
  • Recruit and develop a centralized marketing team to drive execution.
  • Collaborate with product and technology teams for new product launches.
  • Lead localization efforts to ensure market relevance.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Manage operational planning, goal setting, and budget administration.
  • Monitor marketing metrics and KPIs to assess performance.
  • Mentor and develop a team of marketing managers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic:

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, particularly in online and/or B2B environments.
  • Proven track record in establishing and scaling new marketplaces for customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Experience in deriving customer insights and creating strategic briefs.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools such as email, web analytics, and CRM systems.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Amazon and/or e-commerce marketing.
  • Background in the entertainment or media sectors.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams for product launches.
