We are seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to oversee the technical aspects of our Enterprise prospects. The ideal candidate is passionate about engaging potential clients in meaningful discussions regarding their business and technical requirements, possessing a proven track record in enterprise software sales. They will collaborate closely with Liquibase sales executives to devise sales strategies, uncover technical and business needs, and manage all technical elements of the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to create account strategies that integrate business and technology approaches.
  • Take responsibility for all technical matters during pre-sales interactions with prospective clients.
  • Oversee the technical side of the sales process, developing strategies and tactics for Liquibase solutions while addressing all technical challenges throughout the enterprise sales cycle.
  • Craft and present customer-specific, solution-oriented demonstrations and presentations.
  • Showcase Liquibase solutions and technologies to various organizational levels.
  • Formulate strategies and assist in executing solution evaluations to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical specifications.
  • Gain a deep understanding of prospects' business operations, information flows, and competitive pressures.
  • Identify specific business and technical challenges and design solutions that deliver clear business value through Liquibase products.
  • Architect innovative solutions that leverage both third-party and Liquibase technologies, creating new use cases and revenue streams.
  • Contribute to team learning initiatives and activities.

Essential Qualifications:

Business:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Management Information Systems preferred.
  • Over 5 years of successful pre-sales experience in an enterprise software environment, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the enterprise software sales lifecycle.
  • Proven success in delivering technology solutions to various organizational levels, from executive management to technical staff.
  • Experience working within a sales organization, responsible for the technical dimensions of the sales cycle.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 35%.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong familiarity with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies and practices.
  • Proficiency in two or more database platforms such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Experience with at least one scripting language, such as shell, Ruby, or Groovy.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Source Code Management tools like Git, Subversion, or TFS.
  • Experience with Build Automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab runners, or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with Deployment Automation tools like Azure DevOps Release Pipelines or Octopus Deploy.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in database application development.
  • Familiarity with Data Warehousing and NoSQL platforms.
  • Experience with Liquibase or similar database schema management tools.
  • Experience in modern cloud and Kubernetes application environments.
