Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at DTG Recycle. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating front-end loaders and/or excavators safely and proficiently, performing light maintenance on equipment, and assisting co-workers with heavy items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections at the beginning and end of the shift.
  • Operate front-end loaders and/or excavators safely and proficiently.
  • Perform light maintenance on equipment.
  • Sizing large steel and concrete for further processing in our recycling operations.
  • Visually screen construction and demolition debris for unacceptable materials.
  • Identify unacceptable material on incoming loads.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with truck drivers on where to offload incoming material.
  • Direct inbound loads to the tipping floor.
  • Assist co-workers with heavy items.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of the facility and general housekeeping.
  • Availability to work occasional Saturdays.

Requirements:

  • Experience with operating excavators or front-end loaders.
  • Clean driving record and background.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
