Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Custodian to maintain assigned buildings in clean, sanitary, and secure condition. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that requires flexibility and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure personal safety and security of buildings at all times.
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitation tasks, including bathroom maintenance, disinfecting common touch surfaces, and cleaning drinking fountains.
  • Dust and vacuum all furniture, windowsills, floorboards, equipment, and fixtures in offices and common areas.
  • Empty trash and garbage containers and deposit waste in designated dumpsters.
  • Secure cleaning and sanitation equipment and supplies in designated storage areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Lead Maintenance Worker.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work independently and make changes as needed without supervision.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate custodial equipment, such as buffers and carpet cleaners.
  • Ability to work flexible hours with occasional weekend work required.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to finger, handle, reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to walk, sit, stand.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
