Position Overview:
The Automotive Service Specialist role can be full-time or part-time, offering an hourly wage based on business needs.

This position is crucial for performing essential vehicle diagnostics and executing routine maintenance and repair services in line with company standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Our specialists are expected to deliver outstanding service by effectively communicating vehicle concerns and proposed solutions, ensuring that guest expectations for quality and timeliness are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct basic vehicle diagnostics to accurately identify necessary repairs.
  • Perform Monro's Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, documenting and communicating any additional services required.
  • Assist in managing inventory, including pulling tires and parts, and ensuring proper stocking.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization to meet Monro's standards.
  • Adhere to safety protocols during service operations, including proper testing and road testing of vehicles.
  • Comply with company policies, governmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • Continuously enhance technical skills through required training programs.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Automotive training or relevant experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • ASE certification and State Inspection license preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Possession of a basic set of tools or participation in Monro's tool purchase program.
Profile Summary:
  • Proficient in basic automotive maintenance and repair.
  • Able to diagnose issues and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying technical information.
Work Environment:
This role operates in an automotive shop setting, with exposure to various environmental factors.

Technicians must be capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs, standing for extended periods, and following safety protocols.
