All Packaging Technicians operate on a rotating schedule with every other weekend off.

Available Shifts:

Night Shift Schedule:
6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Compensation:
Competitive starting pay rate

$19.20 for Night Shifts
Eligible for annual and skill-based wage increases
Earn additional income by referring friends and family
Monthly bonuses based on plant productivity are available.


The primary responsibility of the packer is to assist the manufacturing team by preparing boxes for loading, visually inspecting products, loading items, and stacking finished cases to ensure efficient and quality-driven production.

Additional tasks include maintaining cleanliness in the work area and performing other assigned duties.

Your role is vital to the success of the production line and the overall team.


Each line has specific target goals, and achieving these targets is essential for covering planned costs and ensuring profitability each year.

Responsibilities:
Safety:
Understand and support a safety culture and workplace
Remain aware of surroundings and know all required PPE for the job
Follow all required safety procedures for each task
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Report any safety concerns, risks, hazards, near misses, or injuries immediately to the appropriate supervision on shift.
Quality:
Adhere to all GMP guidelines required by the site and for each workstation
Inspect all products passing through the workstation for possible defects or concerns
Report any quality issues immediately to the appropriate supervision on shift.
Productivity:
Construct empty boxes at a rate sufficient to maintain production on assigned machines running at standard rates
Properly palletize finished products at a rate sufficient to maintain production and prepare products for transportation
Inspect manufactured products to ensure visual quality parameters are within acceptable limits and promptly notify the Operator and/or Supervisor of any quality issues.
Maintain cleanliness of manufacturing areas and equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and contamination-free work environment.
Assist operators as needed in routine start-up and shut-down procedures and changing packing materials between products.
Salvage and re-pack products that are damaged or do not meet quality standards.
Keep trash and regrind separate.
Be willing to work in any packing position available, including other areas and departments as workload and customer requirements demand.
Be prepared to work overtime when necessary.
Promptly inform supervisors of any issues concerning safety, health, hygiene, quality, and efficiencies.
Perform other tasks within the plant as assigned by the supervisor or group leader.

Qualifications:
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for approximately 10 hours and 50 minutes of a 12-hour shift (70 minutes of break time).
All routine tasks are performed while standing.
Reaching, handling, fingering, and feeling are constantly required while performing job duties.
Frequent turning of the body from 0 to a maximum of 180 degrees is necessary.
Good eyesight is essential for constant inspection of products, including seeing both near and far, color vision, and depth perception.
Vision corrected with glasses or contact lenses is acceptable.
Frequent walking is required, with distances over 50 feet.
Bending is frequently required when making boxes (approximately half of the shift).
Occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or talking may be necessary.
Lifting up to 40 pounds (from empty to full boxes) is required.


Items lifted include, but are not limited to, products, boxes (empty and full), plastic liner bags, tape, and cleaning supplies.

Pushing and pulling may be required occasionally.
Items moved include, but are not limited to, boxes, stands, products, regrind, and inspection tables.
Controls required include hands/arms (both) and feet/legs (both).
The work environment includes indoor work 100%, teamwork 100%, and can be near or close to others, with temperatures exceeding 95+ degrees during summer months.
Vibration may occasionally be present from running machines.
Noise levels can reach 85dB+ depending on the work area.
A mild plastic smell may be present at times.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required includes safety glasses, hearing protection, proper safety shoes, gloves, and a bump cap.
GMP requirements include hair nets, beard nets, and routine hand washing.
In specific areas of the plant and in certain positions, a high visibility vest is also required.

Qualifications:
High school diploma preferred.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team is essential.
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work well in group situations; ability to handle conflict in a mature and consistent manner.
Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed.
Must be able to stand for 10-12 hours due to the nature of the work.
Must be able to wear the required PPE to enter the plant and complete the tasks.
Regular and timely attendance is expected to avoid disruption to the team and production line.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
