We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Invitation Homes. Key Responsibilities- Complete maintenance service requests across multiple trades, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
- Provide outstanding customer service and promote a quality living experience for all residents, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Conduct regular ProCare visits in residents' homes to perform proactive maintenance and repairs, identifying potential issues before they become major problems.
- Educate residents on various maintenance topics, empowering them to take care of their homes and reducing the need for future repairs.
- Complete general property condition assessments at all property visits, alerting the property management team to any items that require immediate attention.
- Review and utilize Technician-specific reports to identify opportunities for improvement, enhancing our maintenance processes and procedures.
- Perform repairs in vacant properties while they are on-the-market or during the turn process, ensuring that our homes are always in excellent condition.
- Properly use and care for company-supplied tools, materials, and vehicles, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our team and the company.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- OSHA 10 certification (new hires will have up to 90 days to complete OSHA 10 certification if not already certified).
- Proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance, other building maintenance or related experience.
- Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform general repairs in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor), and appliances.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work comfortably with mobile devices (i.e. iPad and/or iPhone) and various mobile applications.
- Must possess a current driver's license, automobile insurance, and any other licenses and/or certification as required by state law.
- Preferred certifications include EPA Certification, Type I and II, HVAC Certification, and CPO certification (pool).
