Coordinate and manage sustainability projects from initial concept through design development to specifications, quotations, or bidding processes.

Oversee contract management and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Document and facilitate community engagement to communicate project outcomes effectively.

Execute public relations activities, including planning community events, campaigns, and competitions aimed at residents, businesses, and stakeholders.

Collaborate with representatives from tourism marketing organizations and relay requests or recommendations to the relevant boards.

Manage project budgets, encompassing both internal and external funding sources, grants, tax incentives, and rebates.

Organize and lead meetings for the project team, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions and decisions.

Maintain and update tracking systems and databases that monitor municipal energy consumption, operational emissions, and participation in sustainability programs.

Attend relevant events to gather insights and share knowledge gained with the team.

Perform additional duties as required to support project goals.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management and coordination within the sustainability sector or with local government entities.

Proficient in computer applications and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong understanding of renewable energy and energy efficiency practices.

Exceptional writing and communication abilities.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
