Oberto Snacks, Inc., a leader in high-quality meat snacks, is currently seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Warehouse Operations Supervisor. This position is crucial in overseeing our warehouse team to achieve distribution objectives while prioritizing employee and product safety. As a hands-on supervisor, you will need to exhibit meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to established protocols. A successful candidate will possess a fervent drive for excellence and a focus on the company's best interests.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the training, development, and assessment of team members to ensure they possess the essential skills for their roles.
  • Facilitate cross-training among staff to ensure operational flexibility.
  • Execute tasks with urgency while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
  • Guide and oversee employees to adhere to safety protocols and monitor compliance with safety regulations.
  • Ensure a secure working environment by maintaining safety equipment in optimal condition.
  • Uphold cleanliness and quality standards as mandated by Oberto and relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Inspect incoming shipments to confirm accuracy and report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Assign and prioritize distribution tasks among warehouse personnel.
  • Direct team activities to maximize productivity and safety.
  • Oversee the receiving process, ensuring timely and accurate handling of inbound freight and inventory.
  • Manage the creation of pick-lists and conduct daily cycle counts.
  • Assess the need for disciplinary actions in collaboration with the warehouse supervisor and HR.
  • Explore innovative warehouse practices to enhance quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness through employee engagement.
  • Communicate shift requirements clearly to all team members.
  • Address and resolve issues promptly, coordinating with leadership and other departments as necessary.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback to employees in both formal and informal settings.
  • Maintain effective communication with various departments, including Customer Service and Production.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely verification of receiving paperwork.
  • Collaborate with leadership to manage inter-departmental shipments and verify accuracy.
  • Participate in annual inventory counts, ensuring accuracy and addressing discrepancies.
  • Monitor equipment and facilities, reporting any issues to distribution leadership promptly.
  • Assist in labor planning and support functions to meet organizational goals.
  • Complete warehouse capacity assessments and identify opportunities for optimization.

SCHEDULE: This position operates on the 1st shift, requiring 8-hour shifts with potential overtime during peak production periods.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in English.
  • Background in food science or a related field is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and warehouse management systems.
  • Able to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
