We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Architect and Project Manager to lead our team in creating sustainable and distinctive landscapes.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in landscape architecture design and project management, with a strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.

This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to the creation of innovative and environmentally responsible projects, collaborating with clients to understand their vision and translating it into comprehensive design plans.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $90,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience level.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage landscape architecture projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, translating it into innovative and sustainable landscape designs.
  • Oversee project teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior designers, landscape architects, and support staff.
  • Conduct site analysis and assessments, considering environmental factors, regulations, and client preferences.
  • Develop comprehensive design plans, including site layouts, hardscape, grading and drainage, planting, and erosion control plans.
  • Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to facilitate seamless project execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture required.
  • Proven experience (12+ years) in landscape architecture design and project management.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
  • Thorough understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards project success.
  • Professional licensure as a Landscape Architect in WV required or willing to obtain WV license reciprocity within three months of employment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in sustainable design practices and environmental stewardship.
  • Proficient in project budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management.
  • Strong conceptual and spatial design abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of plant materials, construction techniques, and site engineering.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling, GIS, and computer graphic tools for enhanced project visualization.
  • Ability to navigate complex permitting processes and regulatory requirements.
