The Goodkind Group is seeking a highly skilled HR Manager to join our team. As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's adherence to employment policies and safety regulations, while also managing day-to-day HR functions.
Key Responsibilities- Talent Acquisition and Management: Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, attending job fairs, posting positions on job platforms, reviewing candidate applications and resumes, scheduling and performing interviews, background and reference checks, and hiring and onboarding of qualified job applicants.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training and workforce development programs and initiatives for employee growth and skill enhancement.
- Employee Relations and Disciplinary Actions: Oversee employee disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations following company guidelines and legal prerequisites.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; actively review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Performance Management: Initiate and facilitate a timely annual performance review process; perform reviews and/or assist department managers and supervisors as needed.
- Safety and Environmental Health: Coordinate, manage, and implement safety program initiatives and committees at each facility.
- Communication and Collaboration: Actively plan, coordinate, and participate in quarterly staff meetings and other company events.
- Document Management:
- File documents into appropriate employee files.
- Prepare new-employee files.
- Environmental Health and Safety Programs: Develop and implement environmental health and safety (EHS) programs and policies.
- EHS Training and Guidance: Provide guidance and training to employees on EHS procedures and practices.
- Accident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of human resource management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30, CPR and AED Certification
- Skills: Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems or other ERP software as needed; Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations; Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and conflict resolution skills; Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail; Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and detailed orientated; Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and delegate when appropriate; Experience in conducting accident investigations and root cause analysis.
