Position Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Logistics Supervisor to manage logistics operations in our fast-paced manufacturing setting. This role involves overseeing the efficient movement of materials, products, and information across the supply chain to ensure prompt delivery and optimal performance. The successful candidate will possess a strong logistics and supply chain management background, demonstrating leadership capabilities and a strategic mindset to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Leadership: Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining certifications for all operational staff.
  • Inventory Management: Establish and uphold effective inventory management practices, including regular audits and quality checks to ensure accuracy and minimize losses.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a team of logistics personnel, providing training and support to enhance operational performance and career growth.
  • Logistics Coordination: Organize and oversee the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods to meet production timelines and customer requirements.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Formulate and execute strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and lower transportation expenses while maintaining service excellence.
  • Collaborative Planning: Work closely with production, procurement, and account management teams to forecast needs and address logistical challenges.
  • Facility Oversight: Ensure the proper maintenance of warehouse facilities and equipment, adhering to all regulatory and operational standards.
  • Performance Analysis: Evaluate logistics data and performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective measures.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on logistics trends and advancements to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as assigned to support the logistics department's objectives.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in logistics and supply chain management, ideally in a high-volume manufacturing context.
  • Prior supervisory experience is essential.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and develop team members.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, including ERP and WMS.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards and best practices in logistics, transportation, and inventory management.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration across various departments.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic environment.
