Position Summary

We are in search of a meticulous and seasoned Logistics Supervisor to enhance our logistics operations within a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Establish and uphold effective inventory management practices, including regular audits and quality checks to ensure accuracy and minimize losses.

  • Logistics Coordination: Strategically plan and oversee the transportation, storage, and distribution of materials and finished products to meet production timelines and customer requirements.
  • Process Optimization: Create and implement strategies aimed at optimizing inventory levels, reducing lead times, and lowering transportation expenses while maintaining service excellence.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with production, procurement, and account management teams to anticipate demand, coordinate production schedules, and resolve logistics challenges.
  • Facility Management: Ensure the upkeep of warehouse facilities and equipment, adhering to regulatory standards and operational guidelines.
  • Performance Analysis: Evaluate logistics data and performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities, implementing corrective measures to boost efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on logistics trends and advancements, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the logistics function.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other tasks as assigned to support the logistics department's objectives.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in logistics and supply chain management, ideally in a high-volume manufacturing context.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience is essential.
