Position Summary: The Supply Chain Logistics Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the prompt delivery of quality goods and services while managing the logistics of materials. This position oversees all physical inventory for Supply Chain Management and leads the Logistics Team to achieve these objectives. Responsibilities include generating reports related to logistics functions, encompassing risk analysis for materials and storage, inventory management, budget compliance, material logistics, and continuous improvement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety by adhering to company and client worksite policies.
- Promote and uphold company Core Values to maintain a family-centric culture.
- Assist Project Managers, Superintendents, Procurement, Project Engineers, and Field Supervisors with material logistics to deliver value effectively.
- Lead the development, compliance, execution, and enhancement of processes for safe and efficient remote warehouse operations.
- Monitor and manage job site vehicle assets, ensuring safety and maintenance.
- Oversee coordination of all inbound and outbound warehouse deliveries.
- Accountable for tracking materials, managing storage conditions, and ensuring accurate inventory to support site operations.
- Coordinate the receipt of deliveries, verify accuracy, and manage materials handling and storage in line with process standards and safety requirements.
- Responsible for onsite material inventory levels and coordinating necessary shipments.
- Manage the RMA process for physical materials in accordance with supplier return policies.
- Reconcile packing lists with purchase order descriptions and quantities, maintaining accurate material movement data.
- Generate regular inventory reports, investigate discrepancies, and implement solutions to maintain accuracy.
- Develop metrics to measure Logistics performance in terms of Quality, Delivery, and Cost, and drive continuous improvement based on these KPIs.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and support Lean practices across the site.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Exemplify safety and professionalism on the job site.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and relevant software.
Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel as necessary for the role.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2 - 5 years of experience in Logistics/Supply Chain, preferably in Structured Cabling or a related industry.
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role, including organizing and prioritizing work assignments.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong data analysis skills to support Logistics decision-making.
- Understanding of fundamental business practices and processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Capability to develop standard operating procedures for effective Logistics execution.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.

- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

Work Environment: The position involves working in both an office and construction environment, requiring the ability to use a computer and/or hand tools for extended periods. Physical demands include lifting and moving materials, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. Regular attendance and occasional travel may be required.
