Job Overview
Join the Proper Food family, a unique food establishment that specializes in offering freshly prepared, wholesome, and convenient grab-and-go meals in urban settings. We are on the lookout for an exceptional Store Lead to become a vital part of our New York team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key holder, responsible for opening and closing the store.
- Maintain clear communication with management regarding store operations.
- Oversee inventory management and order placements.
- Implement daily and weekly cleaning and operational procedures.
- Restock food items and merchandise throughout operational hours.
- Prepare and serve customer orders, including heating meals and brewing coffee.
- Process customer transactions through the point of sale system.
- Deliver catering orders as needed.
- Manage cash handling and store finances.
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid NYC Food Handlers card.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a retail or food service environment.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and self-driven attitude.
- Team-oriented with a positive and friendly demeanor.
- Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to changing situations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Note: A valid food handlers card is required upon hire or must be obtained within the first 15 days of employment.
Availability:
We offer both full-time and part-time positions, with primary shift needs from Monday to Friday, 6:15 AM to 7:30 PM. Flexible part-time options are also available.
