Mechanical Project Supervisor Job Overview

The Project Supervisor will operate under the guidance of the Sales Director. Our sales team is consistently engaged in bidding, executing, and overseeing numerous projects weekly. The responsibility of the Supervisor will be to direct each project from the sales phase through to its completion in the field.

Mechanical Project Supervisor Duties

  • Organize, schedule, and manage timelines for contractors and subcontractors
  • Procure and oversee materials and equipment
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project timelines
  • Monitor and direct project advancement, providing updates on timelines, status, and necessary adjustments through the WIP Process
  • Ensure projects are finalized on schedule and within financial constraints
  • Visit project locations to assess progress and provide updates to clients
  • Record deviations from the project scope and accurately assess and communicate cost implications
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to guarantee timely project delivery
  • Occasionally assist with budgeting, cost projections, and other financial assessments in conjunction with the Sales Department

Mechanical Project Supervisor Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in commercial mechanical engineering or contracting project management
  • Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time effectively
    • Proficient in handling multiple projects
  • Skilled in problem analysis and strategizing for improved solutions
    • Comprehensive understanding of the mechanical engineering and contracting sector
  • Able to cultivate strong relationships with team members, vendors, and clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
