Mechanical Project Engineer Job Description

A reputable engineering firm is seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the project team, you will work closely with mechanical engineers and provide support in design, drafting, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project teams to produce engineering drawings and project documents
  • Assist in design and drafting, with opportunities for exposure to cross-discipline environments
  • Support project managers in planning and conducting work, including independent evaluation and selection of standard techniques and procedures
  • Supervise and coordinate work, scheduling and assigning tasks to meet completion dates
  • Develop reports, studies, and system analysis
  • Represent the firm at meetings and cover all trades, requiring further follow-through
  • Mentor and train younger engineers and designers
Requirements:
  • Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) working toward P.E. Licensing
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent
  • Eight years of experience in responsible charge of project design in respective discipline, plus advanced courses, training programs, or seminars relating to engineering and management
