Lighthouse Lab Services, a leading medical laboratory consulting and recruiting company, is seeking a highly skilled Scientific Researcher, Metrology Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for creating high-quality materials for client laboratories, ensuring precision, performance, and accuracy. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of metrology specialists to develop and implement quality control measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create LCMS Validation materials, including Sample Comparison, Matrix Effects, and Interference Study
  • Develop and maintain quality control documents for the laboratory
  • Manufacture validation materials and controls for Molecular and Infectious Disease panels
  • Run lot-to-lot verification on new lots of reagents
  • Create Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each lot of controls
  • Collaborate with the Quality and DA/DR teams to ensure standards are passing
  • Order supplies for the laboratory and handle shipments of standards
  • Participate in the instruction and training of others
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or a closely related scientific discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within a clinical laboratory, metrology preferred
  • Pipetting skills are a must
  • Medical Technologist Certification preferred
