Job Overview

As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee various operational aspects within our food service environment. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operate and maintain all necessary equipment.
2. Manage the stocking of ingredients from delivery areas to storage and workspaces, including walk-in coolers.
3. Prepare food products according to established standards.
4. Handle and process customer orders received via telephone.
5. Conduct inventory checks and complete related documentation.
6. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities on a daily basis.
7. Deliver products to customers' locations and distribute promotional materials.

Requirements

- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record that meets company criteria.
- Access to a reliable and insured vehicle for delivery purposes.
- Ability to pass a background screening and maintain flexible availability.

Training

Comprehensive orientation and on-the-job training will be provided.

Communication Skills

- Proficient in understanding and delivering accurate written instructions.
- Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Capability to train and lead fellow staff members.

Essential Skills

- Quick and accurate mathematical skills for basic calculations (calculator usage permitted).
- Competence in making correct monetary change.
- Effective verbal, written, and telephone skills for order processing.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination for precise movements.
- Proficiency in entering orders using computer systems.
- Ability to manage cost controls effectively.
- Navigational skills to locate addresses within the delivery area.

Work Environment

Exposure to:
- Varied weather conditions while performing outdoor tasks.
- In-store temperatures ranging from cool to warm.
- Fumes and dust from food products.
- Potential hazards from sharp objects and moving machinery.

Sensory Requirements:
- Effective communication via telephone.
- Near and mid-range vision for in-store tasks.
- Ability to distinguish temperature differences.

Physical Demands

- Most tasks require standing for extended periods.
- Walking is typically for short distances.
- Lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
- Driving within designated delivery areas is a key responsibility.
- Frequent reaching and hand tasks are required.
