Position Overview

Peraton is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to contribute to critical operations. In this capacity, you will play a vital role in the development and upkeep of the DODIN-A network framework, enhancing security measures where Cross Domain Solutions (CDSs) interface with network enclaves.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate network defense initiatives by delivering engineering expertise to evaluate the technical feasibility of cyber programs and associated efforts, encompassing software requirements definition, testing, validation, verification processes, and integration activities to ensure alignment with broader corporate and enterprise objectives.
  • Contribute to the design, migration, implementation, enhancement, optimization, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
  • Assist in managing the CDS networks effectively.
  • Support the oversight of designated network appliances.
  • Regularly update and maintain network architecture topology diagrams to accurately represent the current CDS network.
Qualifications

Required:
  • At least 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; 6 years with an MS/MA; or 3 years with a PhD. Candidates with a high school diploma and 12 years of relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Proficient technical knowledge in system integration and cloud-based applications.
  • Ability to create network architecture topology diagrams.
  • Familiarity with Army DODIN-A operations and a solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPNs, Load Balancers, and Project Manager (PM) Tactical Network.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and trends.
  • Expertise in Army cyber technologies, including systems and tools utilized.
  • Broad familiarity with areas such as threat analysis, cyber assessments, forensic and malware analysis, virtualization, and information security policies and processes.
  • Willingness to undertake domestic TDYs to government sites, with potential OCONUS travel in certain instances.
  • Possession of a TS SCI clearance with Polygraph and the capability to obtain MEAD clearance.
Desired:
  • CCNP, CASP+, or other IAT Level III certification.
