Position Overview

Peraton is in search of a Cyber Systems Engineer to contribute to our mission supporting ARCYBER. This role involves enhancing the security of the DODIN-A network infrastructure, particularly at the junctions where Cross Domain Solutions (CDSs) interface with various network enclaves.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering expertise to evaluate the technical feasibility of cyber initiatives, including defining software requirements, conducting tests, and overseeing software validation and verification processes.
  • Assist in the design, migration, implementation, and optimization of network infrastructure.
  • Support the management of CDS networks and specified network appliances.
  • Update and maintain network architecture topology diagrams to accurately represent the current state of the CDS network.
Qualifications

Required:
  • At least 8 years of experience with a BS/BA; 6 years with an MS/MA; or 3 years with a PhD. Consideration will be given to candidates with a high school diploma and 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient understanding of system integration and cloud-based applications.
  • Ability to create network architecture topology diagrams.
  • Familiarity with Army DODIN-A operations and knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPNs, Load Balancers, and Project Manager (PM) Tactical Network.
  • Current awareness of cybersecurity technologies and trends.
  • Expertise in Army cyber technologies, including systems and tools.
  • Knowledge in areas such as threat analysis, cyber assessments, forensic and malware analysis, virtualization, and information security policy.
  • Willingness to undertake domestic TDYs to government sites, with potential OCONUS travel.
  • Possession of a TS SCI clearance with Poly and the capability to obtain MEAD clearance.
Desired:
  • Certifications such as CCNP, CASP+, or other IAT Level III credentials.
