Philanthropy Manager

The Philanthropy Manager represents the Memorial Hermann Foundation across the organization and in the community. This role is responsible for executing major gifts fundraising programs to achieve annual fundraising goals. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction, working collaboratively with Foundation and System staff and physicians to advance philanthropic support for the Memorial Hermann Foundation.
Key Responsibilities- Qualify and manage a portfolio of high-capacity corporate, foundation, and individual donors.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts primarily in the $5,000 to $50,000 range from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
- Develop proposals and progress reports for internal and external audiences.
- Establish measurable, achievable, and aspirational goals to deliver results in all assigned areas.
- Collaborate across the Foundation team on cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and gift officer portfolios.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Three (3) years of professional experience in development or a related field, with a focus on healthcare and/or non-profit experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and build and sustain relationships with donors, staff, partners, and physicians.
- Goal-oriented, problem-solving, and organizational skills to execute multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and knowledge of Raiser's Edge is a plus.
