Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Terminal Projects and Operations Manager to join our team in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our bulk and bag distribution terminal network, ensuring safe, clean, and cost-effective product delivery while maintaining high standards of service, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize terminal efficiency and cost of delivery, maintaining/improving service, safety, and quality standards
  • Develop and implement distribution network optimization projects, working with project management and finance teams
  • Lead business case development, including conception, analysis, validation, and justification
  • Identify optimal site locations, requirements, design, procurement, negotiation, and contracting
  • Develop/enhance systems and processes, implementing automation and operationalization of sites
  • Manage terminal operations, including maintenance, resourcing, inventory management, and customer/carrier service
  • Safety and environmental compliance and reporting, operating within environmental regulations and company protocols
  • KPI definitions and revisions that drive business results
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with applicable related work experience in cement/lime/dry bulk distribution
  • Minimum of ten years' progressive experience in operations and/or logistics
  • Project management skills, with the ability to set, coordinate, and accomplish multiple competing priorities
  • Strong working knowledge of lime/cement/dry bulk distribution, with familiarity with bulk material discharge/shipping/distribution functions
  • Experience working with railroads on new business development opportunities and track design
  • High level of interpersonal savvy, excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-directed, able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent analytical, financial acumen, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to work within a matrix organization
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft programs, and familiar with automation solutions
