Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to join our team at Trios Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy department, ensuring the highest level of quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in operational tasks such as workflow oversight, process decision making, project implementation, and drug shortage management.
  • Ensure and maintain quality control in regards to patient care and medication and equipment usage.
  • Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug related problems.
  • Advise prescriber of medication related issues and recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.
  • Review, interpret, clarify, enter, and verify patient's information and medication orders for processing.
  • Assist with health-system level decision-making, committee work, and decision making for relevant policies.
  • Provide drug information support for pertinent drug information questions.
  • Provide management support and demonstrate leadership.
  • Manage and coordinate work activities for assigned practice area and provide feedback to staff regarding performance under the direction of the department director.
  • Train and mentor staff and residents and precept students.
  • Participate in interviewing and recommend selection of candidates. Triages issues to management and follows-up.
  • Other duties as assigned.
