Job Title: Construction Manager

AFG Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to oversee construction efforts at federal project sites in downtown Washington, DC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with customers to establish project requirements
  • Support the development of the Program of Requirements (POR)
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure technical accuracy
  • Review and approve construction drawings and submittals
  • Perform value engineering reviews and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Participate in weekly progress meetings and prepare meeting agendas and minutes
  • Review project submittals and prepare government cost estimates
  • Prepare and update project schedules and budgets
  • Set up and maintain job files and logs of construction documents
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management, architecture, or engineering
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to read drawings
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and navigate construction sites
