Job Title: Full Time Assistant Teacher

DMK Endeavors Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full Time Assistant Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our young learners.

Job Summary:

The Full Time Assistant Teacher will assist in the general supervision and management of a classroom of children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and educational development. This includes planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, interacting with children, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and implementing an age-appropriate program that aligns with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines.
  • Interact with children in a positive, respectful, and responsive manner, promoting their emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including setting up learning centers and hands-on activities.
  • Assist in supervising children during activities, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, communicating effectively and directly.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, including 15 hours of early childhood training within the first 6 months and every year thereafter.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of related work experience with children, preferably in an early childhood setting.
  • Commitment to working with young children in a manner that promotes their emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development, as outlined by NAEYC guidelines.
