Action Staffing Solutions is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for a Government Contract

The position involves providing on-site services from Monday to Friday, except for recognized US holidays or facility closures due to emergencies, administrative closings, or Government-directed facility/installation closings.

Shift Options

Two shifts are available:

  • 1st shift: 6:30AM through 3:00PM
  • 2nd shift: 3:30PM through 12:00 AM
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing, packaging, labeling, and dispensing medications as prescribed by physician, and maintaining related records for patients
  • Maintaining inventories of drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, rotating stock, stocking automated devices, and checking expiration date of pharmaceuticals
  • Operating various types of pharmacy automation, including Autofill devices, Baker Cells, Kalish cells, A-frames, repackaging equipment, and electronic scales
  • Cleaning and performing minor adjustments and preventative maintenance to equipment
  • Understanding the precautions required when handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A High School diploma or GED
  • Certified Technician (CPhT) certification from the National Pharmacy Certification Board (PTCB)
  • At least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience in a hospital or retail setting
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills with coworkers and staff
  • Basic typing skills, PC computer skills, and working knowledge of MS Office
  • Fluency in English (reading, understanding, speaking, and writing)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required
  • Ability to push or pull up to 150 pounds on a rolling cart or using a pallet jack
  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours) and lift repetitively
  • Understanding of necessary precautions when handling hazardous medications, materials, and hazardous waste
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $21.47 to $27.72, depending on experience and certification.
