Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Vice President of Global Operations to oversee our comprehensive supply chain and inventory management processes.
This role requires a dynamic leader who will drive both strategic initiatives and daily operations related to hardware manufacturing, inventory oversight, logistics, and customer fulfillment.
The ideal candidate will lead a team responsible for managing the profit and loss of our hardware and associated logistics and fulfillment expenses, overseeing a budget that significantly impacts our company’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global manufacturing and inventory operations strategy.
- Build and lead a team that scales our existing products to new markets and facilitates the launch of additional offerings.
- Mentor and grow the operations department to foster a culture of excellence.
Operational Management:
- Supervise international supply chain activities, production, and quality assurance to meet customer expectations.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and finance teams to ensure product availability globally, on schedule and within budget.
- Manage relationships with distribution partners, including third-party logistics providers and retailers.
- Coordinate with product and sales teams to introduce new products and expand retail partnerships.
- Maintain organized supply chain and inventory tracking throughout the product lifecycle.
Who You Are
- An entrepreneurial individual with a proven track record of resourcefulness and action-oriented decision-making.
- 5-10 years of experience in comprehensive inventory operations, including supply chain management and customer fulfillment.
- Familiarity with early to mid-stage startups that market physical consumer goods on a global scale.
- Experience in direct-to-consumer e-commerce, Amazon, and large retail environments.
- Knowledgeable in scaling operations for physical goods and adapting strategies to a fast-paced startup environment.
- A network of professionals in key strategic areas.
- Experience with implementing tools, preferably a full ERP system, and developing processes like S&OP or global freight management.
- Comfortable navigating complex challenges and leading teams through periods of uncertainty.
