Senior Vice President, Tax-Funds

Oaktree Capital is a leading global investment manager, with a strong focus on alternative investments. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Vice President to join our team, responsible for managing tax reporting and risk across our global funds.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage tax reporting and risk across our global funds
- Work closely with accounting, tax, legal, and investment teams to drive accurate and timely tax reporting
- Oversee global tax transformation initiatives through tax operations and technology projects
- Monitor and mitigate tax risk across the Oaktree funds
- Assist in the analysis of fund transactions, domestic and cross-border acquisitions, restructurings, and dispositions to determine proper tax treatment
- Analyze new rules and regulations that impact partners and the partnerships' global investments
- Respond to various investor tax inquiries, such as tax withholding reporting obligations and assessing tax leakage withholding
- Correspond with state and federal tax authorities, including audit responses
- 12-15 years of relevant tax experience with a public accounting firm and/or within the financial services industry or asset management industry
- Strong knowledge of general accounting, taxation of investment products, tax transaction deal analysis, and experience organizing and retrieving large amounts of data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Outstanding initiative, eagerness to learn, and strong work ethic
- Customer-oriented and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and strong integrity and professionalism
- Familiarity with and understanding of a busy tax season
A Bachelor's degree is preferred. A Master's degree is a plus.
Compensation:In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and a flexible work arrangement.
The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge, and expertise.
