Job Title: Senior Vice President, Tax-Funds Expert

Oaktree Capital is a leading global investment manager, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Vice President to lead our tax-funds team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing tax reporting, risk, and compliance across our global funds.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage tax reporting, risk, and compliance across global funds
  • Lead a team of tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting
  • Collaborate with external service providers to manage tax reporting deliverables
  • Oversee global tax transformation initiatives through tax operations and technology projects
  • Monitor and mitigate tax risk across Oaktree entities
  • Assist in the analysis of fund transactions, domestic and cross-border acquisitions, restructurings, and dispositions
  • Analyze new rules and regulations impacting partners and global investments
  • Respond to investor tax inquiries and assess tax leakage withholding
Qualifications:
  • 12-15 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or financial services
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting, taxation of investment products, and tax transaction deal analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Education:

A Bachelor's degree is preferred, with a Master's degree being a plus.
