About the Role

MU Health Care is seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team at the Weight Management & Metabolic Center in Columbia and Jefferson City, Missouri. As a key member of the team, you will provide medical nutrition therapy to patients seeking weight loss through our medically supervised weight loss program or through bariatric surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct nutrition assessments on patients or clients according to standards of care, policies, and protocol.
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition interventions for each patient or client.
  • Provide ongoing nutrition education, including education for dietetic students and interns, assessment of educational needs, and provision of nutrition counseling for individuals or groups.
  • Effectively communicate with nursing, medical, and other hospital staff to ensure high-quality nutritional care for patients or clients.
  • Facilitate clinical nutrition business practices, including assigning and directing the workload of dietitians and diet technicians, and participating in planning and developing nutrition-related policies, procedures, processes, protocols, and goals.
Requirements
  • Dietitian licensure from the Missouri Committee of Dietitians board.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
