Job Title: Senior Director, DMPK

Bicycle Therapeutics is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company seeking a highly skilled Senior Director to lead our Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) team. As a key member of our Quantitative Pharmacology group, you will be responsible for providing scientific leadership and expertise in DMPK across all stages of our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide DMPK scientific leadership and expertise to support compound progression and regulatory submission.
  • Oversee the quality and performance of all DMPK activities, including interactions with external CROs and internal project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other core disciplines to optimize DMPK properties and support compound progression.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources to inform on the understanding of bicyclic peptide distribution, metabolism, and excretion.
  • Design experiments to understand preclinical pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (pk/pd) relationships in collaboration with in-vivo pharmacology.
  • Author and review DMPK-related IND documents in collaboration with the discovery team and regulatory team.
  • Manage DMPK budgets for CROs and monitor CROs to ensure delivery of quality data on time.
Requirements:
  • PhD in a relevant scientific discipline, such as drug metabolism, pharmacology, or pharmaceutical sciences.
  • Significant experience working on DMPK drug discovery and/or development projects with a track record of successful delivery.
  • In-depth understanding of DMPK science and additional knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DMPK problem-solving across drug discovery.
  • Ability to adapt your working style to suit different cultures and partner expectations in both remote and office-based environments.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence.
