About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Support Professional to join our team at Gaudenzia. As a key member of our treatment program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Screen and process new admissions, ensuring a smooth transition into our treatment program.
  • Conduct client orientation sessions, seminars, and morning meetings to promote a sense of community and support.
  • Coordinate in-house activities, including chores, breaks, exercise time, leisure time, and visitations, to foster a healthy and engaging environment.
  • Monitor client movement, maintain accurate daily census, and report infractions and incidents to appropriate staff.
  • Conduct room searches, supervise medication administration, and perform random searches as directed by program supervisors.
  • Deny access to unauthorized persons, ensuring the safety and security of our clients and staff.
  • Perform regular room checks, tour the facility, and conduct fire drills and safety checks to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Complete written reports, documentation, and electronic incident reports as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients and aid them in adjusting to their specific problems
  • Basic knowledge of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relations with staff, other agencies, and the public
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred
