Data Center Operations Technician Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled data center professional with a passion for problem-solving and technical expertise to join our team at Epic.

As a Data Center Operations Technician, you will be responsible for installing, wiring, and removing enterprise-class data center equipment. You will also assist in planning the expansion and rollout of additional equipment and track technical asset use throughout the space.

Our uniquely themed campus was designed to foster collaboration and productivity. You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities, delicious food options, and opportunities to travel and explore the world.

As a member of our Hosting team, you will be responsible for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting. This includes following policies and procedures, escalating potential security incidents, and meeting all security responsibilities defined in policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, wire, and remove enterprise-class data center equipment
  • Assist in planning the expansion and rollout of additional equipment
  • Track technical asset use throughout the space
  • Follow policies and procedures and escalate potential security incidents
  • Meet all security responsibilities defined in policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • A history of professional and/or academic success
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Available to travel 50% of the time to our other data centers around the US
  • Available to cover off-shift maintenance windows occasionally as needed
  • Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
  • COVID-19 vaccination
