About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to support our new manufacturing facility in Boise, ID. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review client contracts to identify risks and ensure conformity to client policies and procedures.
- Draft contracts for large engineering/construction management projects.
- Propose alternative text/clauses to client contracts, as appropriate for the client.
- Ensure that the contract and any changes are thoroughly reviewed for legal, risk management, and accounting issues prior to submitting to management for approval.
- Lead the efforts with coordinating, organizing, and securing change documents with Project Managers.
- Aide Project Team with change documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Lead in maintaining and managing change logs in company systems.
- Assist in preparation of written communications on technical and non-technical matters for various levels of management.
- Provide support to project teams in tracking all management of change (MOC) related process changes.
- Help in gathering data and prepare supporting documentation during both Engineering and Construction phases of a project.
- Organizing and tracking of documents as they go through the approval process, make sure signed forms are gathered, and saved for auditing purposes.
- Participates as a member of the negotiating team, consisting of business development and project management personnel, for establishing business terms and contract conditions.
- Monitors and administers the business provisions of prime contracts to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Advises the Contracts Manager and any appropriate Project Managers regarding scope, financial, and risk issues of prime contracts.
- May be responsible for overseeing a significant portion of the contract administration activities within designated market areas.
- Solves significant prime contract problems, taking independent action as prescribed by project procedures.
- Provides guidance and direction to junior Contract Administrators, as appropriate.
- Provide contract review and support for the standardization of the client's general provisions and front-end contracts.
- Closing out Support
- Provide project management support of closeout documentation for final acceptance by the Client.
- Provide closeout updates, in Smartsheet, to the infrastructure team regarding each individual project closeout status.
- Provide support for review of invoices and project schedule of values as required by the project team and audit.
- Provide additional support to the Project Controls team as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of prime contract administration experience is required.
- Requires a thorough knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.
