Job Summary

As a key member of the Prisma Health team, the Nurse Manager will play a vital role in directing and supervising clinical functions and activities within the department or group of practices. This individual will be responsible for implementing and interpreting policies, standards, and regulations for personnel, patients, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with operational and physician leadership to make strategic decisions around clinical process, clinical workforce budget, and the purchase of clinical equipment.
  • Maintain personnel records for clinical team members in collaboration with operational leadership.
  • Supervise clinical team members, directing the selection, performance appraisal, and work allocation of each team member.
  • Develop and implement training for clinical team members in conjunction with the Education department.
  • Identify patient/client needs and recommend new programs and services to meet those needs.
  • Participate in hospital/medical staff committee meetings as required and act as a liaison/representative of physician leadership from supported department/group of practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Nursing, with Ambulatory experience preferred.
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialty experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Certification in a specialty area.
