The Flexographic Printing Specialist plays a crucial role in the operation of Flexographic presses, transforming various raw materials into high-quality printed products. This position is essential for ensuring that customer specifications are met while adhering to the company's quality standards and operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adjusts printing plates and pressure rolls to enhance print quality using various tools and equipment.
  • Conducts thorough inspections of printed products to verify clarity, color accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  • Reviews job orders to ascertain details such as print quantities, production timelines, material specifications, and color sequences.
  • Selects and installs appropriate printing plates, dies, and cylinders in accordance with job specifications.
  • Monitors the printing processes to maintain optimal operating levels and promptly identifies any malfunctions, making necessary adjustments.
  • Operates machinery at designated speeds to ensure proper ink coverage and alignment.
  • Prepares and positions unprinted materials on equipment for production.
  • Manages ink and material reservoirs, making adjustments to control color and viscosity as needed.
  • Implements preventive maintenance techniques to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Formulates and tests inks and varnishes based on the materials being printed and job specifications.
  • Maintains cleanliness and lubrication of presses and components using appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Transfers printed materials from presses to designated storage or finishing areas.
  • Ensures that all operations within the production area are conducted safely and efficiently.
  • Adheres to quality control processes and actively participates in the company's internal audit program.
  • Documents daily time and material usage in the computer management system.
Required Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in the printing industry is essential, particularly with Mark Andy and Nilpeter Press machines.
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
