We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Admissions Coordinator to join our team at the University of the Pacific. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the admissions process, including reviewing and evaluating applications, communicating with prospective students, and managing the admissions database.
Key Responsibilities- Review and evaluate applications for admission to the dental school, ensuring that all requirements are met and that applicants are properly assessed.
- Communicate with prospective students and their families, providing information and guidance on the admissions process and answering questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage the admissions database, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date, and that reports are generated as needed.
- Develop and implement recruitment and outreach strategies to attract and retain top talent, including coordinating events and activities to promote the dental school and its programs.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure that admissions processes are aligned with the school's mission and goals.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, families, and other stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as higher education administration or student affairs.
- Minimum three years of experience in admissions or student services, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, including database management systems.
- Master's degree in a related field, such as higher education administration or student affairs.
- Experience with admissions management software and centralized application services.
- Knowledge of Banner, Qualtrics, Outlook, and WebAdMIT.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
