Human Resources Specialist II

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Specialist II to join our team at San Joaquin Delta College. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting the college's mission to provide high-quality education and services to our students and community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement recruitment plans for all classified, faculty, and management vacancies at the college.
- Screen applications, review transcripts, and schedule recruitment committee meetings and examinations as needed.
- Assist in training and onboarding other staff, including Human Resource Specialists, temporary employees, and student workers.
- Meet standard levels of hiring completions each month, as set by the Director of Human Resources.
- Provide guidance on the use of the college's online applicant tracking system and assist prospective candidates and applicants with staffing and recruiting processes.
- Coordinate with selection committees, IT, and community partners to ensure a smooth hiring process.
- Maintain and update District human resources policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, District policies, practices, and labor agreements.
- An Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university, with major coursework in business, human resources, or a related field.
- Two years of experience performing duties directly related to human resources, preferably as a Human Resources Specialist, Generalist, or Recruiter.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and human resources software, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
