Job Description

As a key member of the Stride team, the K-8 Academic Administrator will play a vital role in leading and managing various aspects of school operations. This includes developing and implementing plans, policies, and strategies to support business objectives, creating and tracking key performance metrics, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive operational and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure conformance of educational programs to state and local school board standards through evaluation, development, and coordination activities.
  • Research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards as needed.
  • Help articulate the school's mission and vision to ensure all stakeholders have a common understanding and are positioned to work cooperatively to achieve desired results.
  • Utilize communication technologies and practices to support a predominantly virtual/remote work environment.
  • Ensure the school meets the needs of students while complying with local, state, and federal laws regarding special education and other categorical programs.
  • Interface with students, families, local Municipal Court systems, and local districts regarding compliance as it relates to student attendance and engagement in educational programs.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of the school's Student Achievement Improvement Plan.
  • Supervise and evaluate teaching staff, manage teacher performance, and provide necessary training to support their professional development.
  • Manage Master and Lead Teachers and programs, confer with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioral problems in school, and coordinate with teacher and K12 Enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals.
Requirements
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Master's degree and five (5) years of educational experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to clear required background check.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an online educator.
  • Previous administrative experience.
