Job Summary:

The IT Analyst role is responsible for providing technical support and customer service to various hardware and software issues in a chemical manufacturing environment. This position requires strong knowledge of PC hardware, remote access concepts, and all Windows operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer software and hardware problems.
  • Support client computer user productivity and environment.
  • Maintain PC inventories and pertinent data.
  • Image or configure PCs, perform PC imaging or reloading, as needed.
  • Evaluate existing systems and ensure virus and security updates are current.
  • Provide alternate IT support for all issues when the IT Generalist is unavailable.
  • Be prepared to be on call and to work with technical support from corporate or elsewhere.
  • Travel to Port Arthur or to Houston Sales Office (The Woodlands) as required.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in a helpdesk or IT support environment.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional.
  • Strong knowledge of PC hardware, remote access concepts, and all Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing facility and maintain a safety-first mentality.
  • Effective leadership skills and the ability to work productively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to effectively solve problems and resolve conflicts.
