Position Overview:

Healthcare Emergency Technician
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct medical assessments of potential plasma donors for automated donation procedures
Evaluate donor eligibility in collaboration with a medical professional
Provide essential emergency care, including administering medications or treatments
Assess donor qualifications for new applicants
Ensure compliance with donor criteria through thorough evaluations
Maintain accurate communication logs regarding donor eligibility
Review blood test results to determine ongoing donor suitability
Advise donors with abnormal results and manage deferrals accordingly

Qualifications Required:
Graduation from an accredited healthcare training program
Current licensure as an EMT Intermediate, Advanced, or Paramedic
Current CPR certification
Ability to educate donors and staff about the plasma donation process
Strong organizational skills, team-oriented mindset, and adaptability in a busy medical environment
Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
Experience in blood banking or plasma centers is highly desirable
One or more years of experience in hospital, field care, or plasma center settings preferred
