Job Title: Sales and Marketing Assistant

Shurm Homes, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales and Marketing Assistant to join our team. As a Sales and Marketing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Sales and Marketing departments to deliver exceptional customer service and communication throughout the entire build process.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily customer service interactions on behalf of Shurm Homes
  • Set weekly goals and develop best practices in marketing and communications
  • Learn Shurm Homes product knowledge and present it to customers
  • Support marketing and sales initiatives, including project positioning, timelines, social media, sales center, and model design/set up, advertising, signage, collateral design, etc.
  • Assist in coordinating with third-party vendors, including signage companies, model decorators, digital advertising consultants, creative firms, model maintenance services, etc.
  • Coordinate with other departments on the creation and maintenance of marketing materials and community identity
  • Assist in updating, maintaining, and creating website presences on a community and home-specific level
  • Assist in gathering estimates and sources for marketing and sales initiatives
  • Update and maintain vendor database, organize community marketing files, and maintain marketing collateral inventory
  • Fact-check and proof-read all marketing materials
  • Coordinate sales center initiatives and general upkeep of the sales center to ensure marketing and sales tools are always in place
  • Ensure brand standards are maintained for the projects
  • Assist with social media and online reputation on behalf of all communities
  • Assist in daily administrative responsibilities, including general upkeep of marketing material inventory
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and creative thinking
  • Ability to work independently and part of a collaborative team
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Ability to manage multiple functions and roles concurrently
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Suite
Background Check Policy and Procedure:

All offers of employment at Shurm Homes are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check. Background checks will be conducted on all final candidates and on all employees who are promoted, as deemed necessary.

Background checks will include:

  • Social Security Verification: validates the applicant's Social Security number, date of birth, and former addresses
  • Prior Employment Verification: confirms applicant's employment with the listed companies, including dates of employment, position held, and additional information available pertaining to performance rating, reason for departure, and eligibility for rehire
  • Personal and Professional References: calls will be placed to individuals listed as references by the applicant
  • Educational Verification: confirms the applicant's claimed educational institution, including the years attended and the degree/diploma received
  • Criminal History: includes review of criminal convictions and probation

The following factors will be considered for applicants with a criminal history:

  • The nature of the crime and its relationship to the position
  • The time since the conviction
  • The number (if more than one) of convictions
  • Whether hiring, transferring, or promoting the applicant would pose an unreasonable risk to the business, its employees, or its customers and vendors

The following additional background searches will be required if applicable to the position:

  • Motor Vehicle Records: provides a report on an individual's driving history in the state requested
  • Credit History: confirms candidate's credit history
