Job Overview:
As a Financial Accounting Supervisor, you will oversee a team of accounting professionals and support staff dedicated to ensuring the precise and timely execution of financial transactions, maintenance of the general ledger, and adherence to accounting controls.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all routine accounting operations, including month-end closing, reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Review and prepare regulatory submissions and audited financial documents, including FOCUS reports and supplementary filings.
• Conduct daily Net Capital computations and weekly Reserve computations.
• Collaborate on determining the accounting treatment for new transactions, products, or regulatory pronouncements.
• Prepare and analyze quarterly reports for the parent company.
• Assist in the annual audit process with both internal and external auditors.
• Provide critical financial insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
• Contribute to the formulation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of six years of accounting experience.

Preferred Skills:
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, theories, and controls.
• Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of Power BI or Power Query is a plus.
• Possession of FINRA Series 27 or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
• CPA designation and management experience are advantageous.

Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance for three or more days per week, with flexibility for remote work on other days.
